Objectives

  • Develop parameterised and tested spatially explicit model for delivery of pest bio-control services in agricultural landscapes at farm and landscape level.

  • Develop parameterized and tested spatially explicit model for delivery of crop pollination services in agricultural landscapes at farm and landscape level.

 

  • Develop parameterized and tested spatially explicit multiple-criteria model for multiple ES in agricultural landscapes at farm and landscape level.

 

  • Generate spatially explicit “heat maps” that show finely grained spatial distribution of multiple ES at farm and landscape level, based on the actual or possible future species composition, management, shape, area, and placement of semi-natural habitats. 

 

  • Feedback to case study partners so they can engage with stakeholders in case studies (farm and landscape level) to demonstrate the potential for strengthening ES at various levels of scale, using the ES “heat maps”. 

  • Develop summary models for predicting the intensity of ES at the European level from existing data bases for land use, agricultural practices and natural habitat.

  • Generate spatially explicit “heat maps” that show the intensity of selected ES over Europe, using existing data bases for land use and natural habitat.
